Song of the Heart, Mouth & Hands

Tara Lamont Eastman Season 2 Episode 47

Tara ponders a story about humility and shares a new song about based on the works of Welsh poet, clergyman and songwriter George Herbert.

Run, Rise & Rest

Enrich, God, heart, mouth, hands in we,
With faith, with hope, with charity
That we may run, rise, rest with thee.
What is the calling of this day
The act of love, along the way,
Just one thing,  we can give today.

Heart, Mouth, Hands
Run, Rise, Rest
Enrich, Lord: heart, mouth, hands renew,
With faith, with hope, with love to do.
That we may run, rise, rest with you.
What is the calling of this day
The act of love, along the way,
Just one thing,  we can give today.
Heart, Mouth, Hands
Run, Rise, Rest
Enrich, God, heart, mouth, hands in we,
With faith, with hope, with charity
That we may run, rise, rest with thee.
Help us to run, rise and rest today.

Trinity Sunday by George Herbert, 1633
Lord, who hast formed me out of mud,
And hast redeemed me through thy blood,
And sanctified me to do good;
Purge all my sins done heretofore:
For I confess my heavy score,
And I will strive to sin no more.
Enrich my heart, mouth, hands in me,
With faith, with hope, with charity;
That I may run, rise, rest with thee.
